As I write this post, I sit in the San Diego International Airport, just an hour and a half away from boarding a plane and flying across the Pacific Ocean to China, where I will spend a week exploring Beijing and Shanghai, before joining my next ship for a four month long contract.
If you have read my previous blog posts, you may remember that for the past two years, I have been living and working full time on board cruise ships. I started my journey as an Entertainment Host, then was promoted to Assistant Cruise Director and more recently, switched roles into a position called Future Cruise Consultant. Over the past two years, I have been on three ships, to six continents, 48 countries, hundreds of cities and met thousands of incredible people from all different cultures, backgrounds and walks of life.
Now, I make my way to Asia, my seventh continent! I will spend a month and a half traveling around China, South Korea and Japan, before crossing the Pacific Ocean (this time by ship!) and heading to Alaska. You can see the itinerary screenshots below:
Working on cruise ships has allowed me opportunities to visit places I would have never dreamed I would go. To say that I will be visiting my seventh continent in less than 24 hours, at the age of 23, is mind-blowing to me. I feel so grateful for everything I have accomplished, and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Stay tuned for more posts about my travels, and don’t forget to follow my blog! ♡
